The theme of my poetry, the genre my muse echoes in my head,

 is how cats-God's soul healers-assure I am never alone.

Choosing devotion to me-my 1st, Misha, chose only me-my 3rd cat, Monty, 

taught me I am worthy of love, my talents are immense and pure and never-ending.

Watching Krimson, my 2nd cat, admire every movement outside our window, even the mosquitos,

I began to understand if I did the same, everyday, no matter how crummy I feel,

I will find peace, I will find joy, the tiny purple flowered weed in someone's yard

will give me reason to breathe and put my next foot forward. I will persevere.

I will thrive through everything. I will break ancient family chains, 

I choose be their opposite. I choose to embrace, not hate. I choose sober.

I choose to not hit or demand obedience by causing fear.

I choose to listen, never judge, and 100% support decisions, after all, it's never about me.

Watching my Krimson use all nine lives in her short eighteen years,

always coming back stronger so she could meet and love my son,; to show the puppy where we go potty,

carrying him gently by the neck, from the snuggling pillows I'd placed and height of my bed,

down and into the litter box;

 that she could train-and watch over-my infant son until her nineth life came like a storm,

she must have thought her job was done, my son was five, just finally speaking,

guess she figured I've got this. Her drive to live taught me I can do everything I

set out to do in my life. They, my first 3 healers taught me how to look at life and words

from a new perspective.

I want to give to other writers the magic and affirmations I've been taught from every wild stray and the terrified Tom who would only let me, at three, pick him up for snuggles; hidden kitties in homes of out of control children I babysat; and the calming telepathy I shared with both Misha and Monty. To share my creative and technical knowledge-instinctual, academic, leadership, optimistic, resilience, my legacy secured through my words, my academic pursuit of writing excellence, my publishing successes and the challenges of choosing where to publish, my hope of changing one person's life with, and my passion to help others be seen and heard through finding and following their of reasons for choosing
